My stay at The Westbury had its ups and downs. The hotel's location was perfect for accessing Dublin's main attractions, and the staff were friendly and efficient. However, I felt quite let down by the facilities, especially the lack of access to the bars and lounges during my stay, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the hotel atmosphere. Overall, while there were positives, the negatives left a mark on what was meant to be a special occasion.
Rooms

I appreciated the bright decor in my upgraded room, but it was smaller than expected. The bathroom wasn't ideal with a high tub step and faulty temperature controls, which made it rather inconvenient.

Breakfast the next morning was a highlight, with an abundance of choices and excellent service. However, I didn't manage to enjoy the hotel's bars due to lack of seating.

I was disappointed with the access to hotel facilities like the bars and lounges. It felt neglectful for a five-star hotel to lack reserved seating for its residents, especially during my birthday stay.

However, I experienced some issues with the check-in procedure and a minor problem with room service. Overall, the service was attentive and welcoming, though there were a few hiccups that detracted from the experience.

Dining options were impressive, with the Wilde restaurant serving really good meals. However, I found room service a little excessive in price for what was offered. I ended up enjoying breakfast at Balfes, which provided great food without the extra cost of delivery.
Facilities

The staff were consistently friendly and attentive (especially Joseph and Kevin), and the food in the Wilde restaurant was delicious. However, I found the bed in my room to be uncomfortably firm, which made for a less than restful night. Additionally, I had a frustrating experience with the room service and breakfast service that detracted from the stay.
